Release 27 Update is Live!
Added 2025-05-06 17:08:42 +0000 UTCThis release was a long time in the making. This started as any other release until I discovered Wanderer's Guide - a similar tool but for Pathfinder 2e. I liked its layout a lot, and I was honestly getting tired of the current color scheme/background of PathCompanion, so i tried doing something similar to what they have, which involved commissioning some new card and background art from https://www.instagram.com/candivee_art/ , doing a lot of layout and color updates, and revamping the homepage. In the end, I'm incredibly happy with the result - I think the app looks much more polished now.
I have a public facing roadmap now, in the form of a Trello board. If you create a Trello account, you can vote on your favorite features, and I'll take that into consideration when
You will notice some features that are not dependent on the Paizo CUP are now gated behind Patreon subscriptions. I discussed the reasoning behind this in my previous post. A few questions came up that I wanted to clarify:
If you already have a character with features that are now behind a paywall, you can still use all those custom features - you just won't be able to create new ones.
The same is true if you cancel your subscription - nothing will be taken away.
Custom Race building is still available due to the fact that it's based on a Paizo ruleset.
Although there are still quite a few Paizo features that haven't been implemented, homebrew is still going to be available to subscribers only, due to the fact that it'll still take me years to implement all the Paizo features. I would burn out in the meantime. Next release I plan on working primarily on feature requests from subscribers in order to mitigate this issue.
Additionally, only subscribers will get the option to request unimplemented features, so I'll be prioritizing those much higher than before.
Finally, here are the full release notes for Release 27!

Bug Fixes
Polymorph abilities such as monstrous physique were not correctly removing universal monster abilities when the effect ended. If you have leftover abilities from this bug, you can remove them by polymorphing into a monster with that ability and then removing the effect, and the ability should disappear.
Extra Wild Talent was incorrectly calculating the maximum level of available wild talent choices, and therefore not showing some talents that should have been available. In some cases, this resulted in an empty list of available talents (such as at level 7 when the maximum level of available wild talents was 1 (or, 3 - 2 specifically)), which caused the app to show an error. This has been fixed.
Lingering performance was causing it to be impossible to dismiss bardic performances via the dismiss card button.
VMC Alchemist can now level up past level 7
Meridian belt has been fixed to no longer throw an error when equipped or removed
Wild shape was not able to be dismissed when Ferocity was an ability received from the target creature.
Pack Lord and similar classes that have multiple animal companionswere not able to update their animal companions
Custom languages can now be added to the list of languages without throwing an error
Steel Hound investigators no longer also add some abilities from the Spiritualist investigator archetype - if you already have a Steel Hound investigator, you will need to re-select the archetype at the first class level to remove the extra abilities.
The Dragon-Scaled Kobold ability now cleans up after itself when changing the resistance type choice
Good hope now cleans up after itself when removed. You may have to apply it and remove it again to see the changes.
UI Changes
Other than the major UI update of course...
Cards no longer animate when activated, improving performance when lots of cards are activated at once
The roll buttons spin when hovered over, to indicate that they are interactive
