Cult of Pickle Changes

Hello everyone, this is a little overdue, but I wanted to finish the Lighthouse crab update, and took the extra time to finalize a few thing.

I've been running the Cult of Pickle for a year and a half now, and in that short time, my life has changed greatly.  There are some thing that have worked and haven't i, in this transition going from hobbyist to professional, and rather than keep my head down and just keep going, I've decided to make some changes to the Cult of Pickle that will hopefully see it grow and prosper.

NEW SYNC LINK(for patrons): https://www.patreon.com/posts/lighthouse-crab-47268479

Pathfinder 2e Miniatures
After chatting with a few people on Zoromer's Discord, I've taken an Interest in Pathfinder 2e, and have started to favor the System over 5e due to the open ended character building system. One think I've noticed is that while D&D has tons of Miniatures, Pathfinder creatures aren't shown the same love.

Of Course one of the Cult of Pickle's gimmicks has always been 'statblocks with each mini' , so In addition to producing Pathfinder 2e Miniatures, I will also be providing converted statblocks for D&D5e to make sure players of both games can get the most out of our miniatures.

The Cult of Pickle will still be producing Original Miniatures
I love inventing my own monsters, and that won't stop. the Cult of pickle has seen little growth over the past year and a half, so while original monsters in my opinion is still a unique niche that isn't filled, it also isn't the Draw I'd hoped it would have been. Designing Pathfinder miniatures will let us appeal to more people (While still making minis for monsters that don't have any)

Instead of monthly releases, I'd like to focus my original creature projects to be of a larger scope, such as the Gher-kin or the Lighthouse Crab.

The Cult of Pickle is ditching the monthly release format
The Cult of pickle will now be releasing monster miniatures, scatter and bases as they're completed, rather than rigid monthly release schedule. Expect a few minis each week with assorted scatter and bases. Of course this is a little less consistent than the '5 minis +bases + 8 scatter' style that I've done in the past, so to increase the value we're giving to our patrons upfront,

The Archive is now a default reward
Rather than locking my library of work behind an arbitrary 3 month period. While I ran the Archive as a benefit, I noticed that the list of people basically didn't change over the months, and if anything just shrunk, So I've decided to make all of my work available for download up front.

New Sync Layout
Sync is now just a consistent link that never expires, with a patron only passwords hat changes at the start of each month, making accessing and using our miniatures easier than ever!

CoP Originals
This Folder contains all of the past Cult of pickle monthly releases, Plus any original monster miniatures I produce in future.

Pathfinder
This folder contains any Pathfinder miniature I produce, along with their statblocks. Monsters are grouped according to family

Welcome Box
The Welcome box was initially to draw extra patrons with some things they could download right away. With the archive becoming the default, the welcome box is staying, but is now the home of any large projects past and future, such of the Gher-kin and Lighthouse Crab

Patron Polls
I'll still be running Patron polls. Instead of voting for monthly themes you'll be voting for sets of original minis, poor families of Pathfinder miniatures that will be released over  the course of several weeks.

Goals
Now that we're switching to a more fluid release schedule, it doesn't make sense to have goals at '+1 mini per month', so instead out patron goals will initial large projects similar to the Lighthouse crab.

50 Patrons- Ironclahd the walking Fortress
This was a patron suggestion that I fell in love with, a Castle golem with a fully
explorable interior!

75 patron- .pdfs and lore
At 75 Patrons when a group of original monsters is released, or a family of pathfinder miniatures is completed, WE'll make a .pdf including the statblocks, a lore blurb and tactics the monster may use to bring them to life at your table.

125 patrons - Epic monsters
At 125 Patrons I'll be releasing a series of fantasy themed mecha and Kaiju, along with some optional rso you can make the most out of them at your table.

Comments

I'm absolutely in love with your work! I can't believe you don't have more patrons!
