Midjourney AI - from concepts to textures
Added 2023-04-01 16:56:30 +0000 UTCAs we continue to use Midjourney for OAAB_Data development (thanks to the generous patrons here!), I wanted to showcase how it can not only be used to generate images (like paintings) but it can create concepts and textures which can directly be used in asset development!
Here are a couple examples for assets that have been developed from AI concepts to AI textures. We're not using AI for 3D modeling yet, but that may be coming sooner than you'd think.
Daedric Furniture
Scepters
In the case of the scepters, the textures could almost directly be used as textures for the weapons. These AI-generated textures generally need some tweaking to match the game's style, but they can be a fantastic basis.
