Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) PART 2 - Full Length Reaction WATCH ALONG

This movie was spectacular, 10/10, Zack Snyder knocked this out of the park! Part 4, 5, and 6 were packed with so much action, the fight scenes were so epic. Seeing Superman come back was a huge highlight for me. You guys know how much I love Superman so to see him come back brought tears to my eyes and had me feeling very emotional.

I loved seeing Superman just beat the absolute shit out of Steppenwolf and even took one of his horns but the best part was when Wonder Woman went in for the kill and chopped his head off that was like the cherry on top. The fight between Steppenwolf and the Justice League members was by far one of if not THE coolest fight I think I've ever seen. IDK how else to describe it besides mind blowing and epic, it just knocked my socks off and blew me out of the water.

I of course have to mention Superman's suit because it was beautiful! Seeing him walk out of the ship in that black suit and then taking off instantly took me back to Man of Steel when I first saw Superman in his suit and my jaw just dropped, I had those same feelings all over again. I really love that they recreated that scene from Man of Steel but this time with him in his new suit and him being reborn, I thought it was awesome.

Overall, the cinematography in this movie was beautiful, an absolute work of art. Zack Snyder definitely knows how to make things look visually stunning. I hope you enjoy my reaction :)

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) PART 2 - Full Length Reaction WATCH ALONG

Comments

I thought I should clarify some things real quick. 1. Zack Snyder is currently very busy over at Netflix working on his sci-fi series Rebel Moon, and has also made a few films with in the past couple years continuing from his Dawn of the Dead remake (which was coincidentally written by James Gunn, so the two are good friends). But he's also stated that if WB asked him, he'd be glad to continue his Justice League story. 2. As you may well know, Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill are more or less done playing Superman. Henry Cavill is very open about wanting to play the character again and continue the story and bring Superman into that classic upbeat version of the character that was part of the character arc for the Snyder Superman. Ben Affleck is a little different and will need his own section. 3. So, around the time of the Justice League reshoots for the theatrical edition in 2017, Ben was going into a really depressive time in his life. He hated what he was doing for the reshoots and on top of that, he was going through a divorce at the time. So, contrary to what some people believe, his Batman movie wasn't canceled, but altered and changed after he stepped down and it eventually turned into Matt Reeves' "The Batman" starring Robert Pattinson (really good movie, by the way). However, he's since been doing a lot better and returned not only for some ZSJL reshoots, but also for The Flash (which will kinda sorta lead the current universe into the next one which will be lead by James Gunn). He also did some reshoots for the second Aquaman, but details on Batman's inclusion in that film are unclear, and we haven't had any trailers for it yet despite it coming out in December. But it seems as if he's not only doing better, but also enjoying playing Batman again. However, regardless of the fact that all of them would love to return (assuming Ben indeed wants to), I still find it unlikely at this moment. So until an actual confirmation that the "Snyderverse" will continue separate from the main DC Universe, I'll remain skeptical, yet cautiously optimistic.

Hope you continue reacting to the rest of the movies in this series they are all really fun in my opinion, also a reaction to the Justice League and Young Justice animated series would be awesome, it has Martian Manhunter in both of them which are really good depictions of the character.

Josh B.

You remind me of Raven from Batman in that thumbnail.

People will debate about Darkseid and his power . We're talking about a being who in his true even scares the heck out of Doctor Manhattan. So yes he's very powerful and Zack didn't get the chance to show just how powerful Darkseid really is.

I recommend Birds of Prey (2020). Not the most popular DCEU movie but one of my favorites. Margot Robbie and Ewan McGregor are great in it. Its set after Suicide Squad (2016). Shazam movies are also fun.

I looove the shockwaves coming off Stepphenwolf every time Clark hits him. And the chunks of armor that come away with each blow.

Thank you Rich Im so glad you enjoyed it <3

I put the movie in the beginning so that you are able to line it up. The movie is up for 30 seconds for matching. or as JG said can use the reflection behind me

I went by the screen reflection of her The Thing poster. Try that.

JG

Now you are part of the Snydernites!! “Ready the Armada. We will use the old ways”.

FranciscoGios

unless I missed it do you ever think about putting a timer on the screen? so we can match up?

Lauren, Absolutely spectacular. This was the one we knew would get you from all sides. The Justice League coming together, the massive fight scenes...and...the return of Superman for a Kryptonian sized ass kicking. Your face when the axe STOPS on his shoulder, and looking very unimpressed (lol, he even says so.) Then Clark freezes and shatters the axe. Then the stompin' begins. Sooooo much fun watching this with you. You took me back to the first time seeing it. There too many great scenes and reactions to count. Thank you so much for this Lauren. Peace and love. ✌️❤

Important to note that the black suit is his recovery suit. It makes his Kryptonian cells heal and regenerate quicker. He wore it in the comics after he was resurrected. Also important to note that he looks so f'n cool in it!...🤩

JG

Aquaman is canon to Josstice League unfortunately :(

JG

That sacrifice is teased throughout ZSJL until the very end. Zack wouldn't care about competition.

Cesare Riva

True...but I think a lot of important details were scrapped in the process. I won't go into the meat of it, just in case, but I'm talking about a major sacrifice at the end that probably would've been changed due to the leak that Endgame seemed to copy. I'll leave it at that.

JG

The bad guy who visits Lex Luthor at the end is Deathstroke. He is more of a Robin/Nightwing villain, but has also fought Batman numerous times in the comics as well. Deadpool was actually a comedic knock-off of him, and they even share similar names (Slade Wilson/Wade Wilson). He was suppose to be the main villain in the Ben Affleck solo Batman film that WB cancelled for some inexplicable reason. It was suppose to be a very dark and cerebral Rated-R story that sees Deathstroke systematically destroying Bruce's life after finding out his identity from LL. Joker and Batgirl were also rumoured to be in it as it was going to be a prequel/present day story where we see Dick Grayson, how he was killed, and how this affected Batman's "no kill" rule going forward. One thing that I found REALLY interesting was from this past weekend at Snydercon with Zack Snyder, Ben Affleck and Chris Terrio (BvS and ZSJL writer) in attendance. There was a Q&A panel and they were extremely open to explaining details about old ideas they were going to incorporate in the old JL story. However, when the question came up about what would've happened in the Batman film, they all clammed up and wouldn't divulge any details. Does this mean there is still hope with this project in the future?...All I know is never say never! Don't know if you've been following the trades, but WB is in serious financial debt. They NEED MONEY! If a major studio wanted to buy the licensing rights to this story (or even the JL story) and the characters, it isn't out of the realm of possibility... They're not gonna wait another 2 years to see if James Gunn's Superman movie is a hit or not. They have sold the DC licensing rights to other studios in the past (Netflix, Amazon etc) and I'm pretty sure they are open for business with their other IP's. Is there something brewing behind the scenes with this project?... (fingers crossed)

JG

You don't need to see the new storyboards to understand where the story is going. Between the old storyboards, ZSJL teases and Zack's reveals about his JL sequels you can paint an understandable picture of what was going to happen (minus the details).

Cesare Riva

You said that you could briefly summarize what would of happened in the Justice League sequels (ie: the old storyboards) Zack's revised JL story and storyboards have not been leaked and no one other than him and Chris Terrio knows. Unless you mean something else?

JG

Who said I was talking about the old storyboards?

Cesare Riva

Zack confirmed while doing the press junket for ZSJL that he has since made new storyboards for JL 2 & 3, in the event that WB or even another studio buys the licensing rights and decides to continue as a Elseworlds story. It is widely believed that Geoff Johns leaked the old storyboards to his best buddy, Kevin Feige in 2015 as A LOT of Infinity War and Endgame seems to be a direct copy of JL2 and JL3...but that's another story!

JG

Makes me happy seeing someone else enjoying this beautiful film. The 4 hours flew by for me. Zack has gone through a lot with his family tragedy, and how he was treated by the studio, and his haters. I'm glad finishing, and releasing his version was a cathartic experience for him, and his fans. I've come to terms that there will likely be no sequel, but I rather him be happy doing what he's doing now then deal with anymore of WB's bs. Your reaction was more than what I hoped for. :D

Rony

The assassin at the end was Slade from Teen Titans. He would've been the villain in Ben Affleck's scrapped Batman solo movie. Unfortunately the last movies that connect to this story are Aquaman and The Flash (which is gonna erase this universe and reboot it with new actors). The only way they can continue this story is with a graphic novel and it's up to DC, cause Snyder already pitched it and they said no. Maybe they could change their mind but if you don't feel hopeful I can summarize briefly what would've happened in the sequels.

Cesare Riva

This is what we have been waiting for Lauren🥰🤩😁❤❤❤. We knew, in our heart of hearts that this movie would soar with you. We'll be watching today.

The sequel we'll never get to see would be darkseid invading, and the knightmare, kind of a mad max style Justice league movie, and at some point they would send barry back in time to the right spot (in BvS he says hes too soon), so Bruce could stop lois from dying, stopping superman falling to the anti life. this would have been a five movie series, but we'll unfortunately never see the last two.

HalfMayn

Snyder has said that he never watched it. His wife and Christopher Nolan saw it and told him: "You can never see that movie".

Marko T.

I hope you enjoy it Awakes, I loved everything about this movie. This last half had me in awe, jaw on the floor. INCREDIBLE

Might watch it for Movie Night just so we can all get a good laugh in. I heard it's terrible in comparison :D

I was suprised how good this was after not liking the 2017 version. You should watch that too at some point just to see how different it is but maybe on your own. Its not good. I'm pretty sure the movies made after it are canon to that version but I don't think it makes a huge difference. I haven't seen Aquaman yet.

Marko T.

Can't wait to watch this with you.
