Anyone know what the facination is with the Kupa-princess character?

Left up to me, I would do Resident Evil characters, streetfighter, fatal fury, marvel, dc, you get the hint. But lately, I'm in-undated with requests to do like a kupa-princess peach like hybrid. Because I'm only accepting commissions from patrons, ive had to turn them down. But does anyone know what this character is all about or is just a meme like slender man... I'm seeing her everywhere lol
