2025-10-03 01:11:45 +0000 UTCI'm so glad we've finally arrived in the Hoenn region. This region was the third Gen in the video game, and one of my personal favorites growing up. Remember visiting my dad for Christmas, and this was one of my presents, a new Gameboy SP. Went to my uncle's that same day, and I played it all the way up there until the battery ran out, and of course forgot the charger lol. I'm always partial to water types, and Mudkip became one of my favorite starters and water Pokémon.

I do actually like May's slow progression as a trainer, like... she has a long way to go as a trainer, but it's nice to see a trainer slowly learn and struggle through their journey instead of dominating nearly everything like Ash did last region (he did struggle a bit through Kanto though).
