He wasn't really doing it intentionally, he was just being a bit careless with his choice of words. The intermission scenes are basically a daily reminder for you of how bad your memory is isn't it? Don't worry... we have 1,000+ episodes to go, so I'm sure you'll get at least a handful more right before the end lol.
