The manga was pretty good, despite its sometime clusterfuck-like artstyle, but the anime was...a mess to put it lightly. Season 1 is good and canon, S2 was an anime-original instead of an adaptation with only bits and pieces of the original canon, then S3 continued off as if S2 was completely faithful to the manga, leaving the watchers forced into either reading to manga to properly understand what the hell was going on or be completely confused. I'd be totally fine just watching season 1 and continuing on with something else (Hint hint, Season 3 of Castlevania or Soul Eater nudge nudge)

2020-12-24 14:08:34 +0000 UTCIf you read the manga the first 12 episodes of season 3 is watchable I’d say even enjoyable, not to far off but the second half is far worse of an adaptation than season 2(which isn’t even cannon) because it’s literally a slide show, they skip story, rush through fights and have bland animation. For a show that’s all about characters and story is just a complete Disgrace

I own the entire manga and your going to here this a lot but season 1 is actually pretty good but the rest of the show has a very poor Adaptation “STORY WISE”. Season 2 is decent from an anime only perspective. That being said I love the characters and it’s a very cool world and my favorite manga of all time. I’m trying not to say too much because I don’t want to turn you off from it but after season 1 it is easily one of the worst adaptations of all time. Regardless I hope you it enjoy it for what it is.
