Added 2023-10-29 22:27:49 +0000 UTCHey everyone! What would you like to see on Patreon? A game series that's Patreon exclusive, more photos or more casual videos, game suggestions... hit me with them! I am trying to plan ahead a bit and want to know what everyone's thoughts are on the Patreon :) I have been really naff on the early access front recently :( We did so well with Subnautica! Had a few episodes in the bank and were running ahead for a while.
November - December plans, depending on various things and time frames but I am looking at covering the following:
Dark Souls 2 - I STILL haven't decided between the OG and SoTFS lmao. This'll probably take me into next year right, its a long game? I almost want to just keep this Patreon only for a bit, so nervous about it
Undertale - this was the surprise series! Please don't tell me anything lol, I may upload this entirely to Patreon first, I have heard mixed things on the community! No idea how long this is either
Subnautica Below Zero - I have missed Subnautica so much and thought this would be a nice chill one for December time, it looks snowy lmao?
Maybes:
Cuphead, Return of the Obra Dinn as a short series if I get time, some other puzzle "one shot" games to break things up and keep it interesting.
Excited to hear your thoughts!

I like all of the games that you have planned. As far as ds2 goes, speedrunners don't like sotfs just because it takes longer but it's totally fine to play sotfs for a casual playthrough. You might also really like lies of p--it's a soulslike about Pinocchio with some real Bloodborne and Sekiro vibes. Really blew me away when it came out. If you want some more horror content it would be really fun to watch you play until dawn and i think you'd get a kick out of it too. I wanted to mention a new-ish indie game that you might like called "cocoon". It's kind of a mind bending puzzle game. Not much like hollow knight but it IS about bugs in a whole bug world that I think you'd like

2023-11-12 00:52:45 +0000 UTCThe Bioshock series? Watching RE4 sort of remind me of it, in a way. Seems like a game you'd like. And I'd like to see it again! it's been years and years since I played it.

2023-11-11 04:38:33 +0000 UTCI would love to see you experience and hear your take on Hellblade: Senuas Sacrifice.

2023-11-10 13:29:51 +0000 UTCUntill Dawn and The Quarry are excellent story driven games.

2023-11-08 14:05:13 +0000 UTCOf the options you presented, my vote is Undertale. Especially for the holiday season I think it just fits better than the others—more cozy. If I can go off script I think the original Resident Evil Remake would be great. I love the series and would love to see you do the rest of them, and having this for the context would be great. Thanks for all the hard work!

2023-11-04 20:13:56 +0000 UTCI don't think it has been mentioned yet but the Horizon Zero Dawn and Forbidden West is an awesome game.
Ohnyx
2023-11-03 21:22:03 +0000 UTCI'm still holding out for a Journey or Return of the Obra Dinn video, but I'll also throw in a vote for Shadow of the Colossus since you mentioned wanting to give that a real playthrough.

2023-11-02 06:43:57 +0000 UTCMy suggestions (mostly already mentioned I think) Subnautica Below Zero Bramble Call of the Sea Valley
Mark Robson
2023-11-01 17:38:21 +0000 UTCWould also love to see you do a hardcore run of Resident Evil 2. Usually I'm not about watching second playtroughs of games, but this mode nails it so well to deliver the true RE experience. Item management really forces to play more strategically. Sometimes it's better to run, or sneak ;), autosaves are off and limited overall; it becomes the survival horror game it isn't enough on standard for experienced players (like you). Would recommend one of the A campaigns (second runs are harder).
Johan
2023-11-01 12:03:17 +0000 UTCFinally able to see Patreon posts again. For the uncategorical recommendation, I'd go with Inscryption. For an existential crisis horror game, Soma. For a heartwarming story, To the Moon. For a new adventurous survival game, Grounded. Given that Bloodborne was one of your first major successes on the channel, I also fully recommend Lies of P.
Adam
2023-11-01 11:19:21 +0000 UTCOMG Jusant is a new game that dropped today and it is BEAUTIFUL and SIMPLE and captures the sheer joy of climbing better than any game I’ve played. Super short too, so this recommendation isn’t just for Amber, it’s free on game pass and everyone should try it!

2023-11-01 00:36:06 +0000 UTCSubnautica Below Zero. Then I can do a play along with you :)

2023-10-31 16:31:09 +0000 UTCHmm Lies of P is an amazing soulslike (especially after the update lol), definitely worth a look. If you're a fan of QTE interactive games Id say try the Quarry or Until Dawn. Loving the content you've been blessing us with, keep up the good work!

2023-10-31 04:43:50 +0000 UTCIco and shadow of the Colossus!
Jeffrey Samuelson
2023-10-31 01:51:35 +0000 UTCA relaxing game with no real end that you can just dive in and out of is satisfactory, not sure if it is your vibe but thought I would throw it out there :D

2023-10-30 23:00:01 +0000 UTCFor Dark Souls 2, I definitely say SotFS, it's overall the better game in almost every way I'd say. I think you might really enjoy Obra Dinn since you did so well, so that would be rad! If you have the chance to play a game together with other people, I can't recommend playing The Yawhg highly enough. It has brilliant music and art direction, and is fun as hell. Every playthrough takes like 20 minutes tops but it has a bunch of replay value. You *can* play it alone but I personally prefer playing with others. :) Some others: - The Beginner's Guide (a game from the creator of The Stanley Parable, sort of a walking simulator but the story hits right in the feels for any creative person) - Hades - Wildermyth (super cool tactics game with simple and cute graphics, but extremely good storytelling mechanics) - Tacoma - Umurangi Generation (short and very cool photography/parkour game, basically) - Inscryption (not super long, extremely atmospheric horror card game) - Celeste (great 2D platformer, it took me some time to get used to the controls bc I kept thinking about the Hollow Knight controls, but they're super customisable which is nice) - Dropsy (one of the sweetest games I've ever played, a point and click adventure game where you play as a scary clown who just wants to be nice and love people. It has a dedicated "hug" button.)

2023-10-30 21:32:15 +0000 UTCMy thoughts are that when a Patreon is as reasonably priced as yours, it doesn't matter if videos aren't super early or if there's a million extra things. I subscribed because I liked the games, the vibes and because I use an ad blocker (boo me). Sorry if that doesn't answer your other question! There's already so many great suggestions so I'm just going to add my +1 to Obra Dinn & a live stream every now and again if you have the time.
mattbrush3pwood
2023-10-30 21:17:49 +0000 UTCWay more story content to dig into too.
Jack Mingle
2023-10-30 20:10:40 +0000 UTCAs someone who played both OG ds2 and SOTFS, play SOTFS, better gameplay and story, all dlcs, better enemy placements, less glitches and more STORY. As for other games, I’d like to see basically anything from you barring more recent releases, indie games are good though.
Jack Mingle
2023-10-30 20:08:48 +0000 UTC-Hades -Borderlands 2 (or the first one if you feel like it. Low pressure FPS) -Death’s Door (easy W) -The Bookwalker: Thief of Tales -Gris (quick one-and-done game, with the most beautiful art direction I’ve ever seen in a game) -Jusant (I love these kind of games but haven’t played this one yet) -Exo (barely a slice of a game, only a handful hours long, but definitely my favorite game mechanic I’ve played with for a LONG time) -Hi-Fi Rush (haven’t played but heard great things) -Cult of the Lamb -Little Misfortune -Rime -Inscryption (one of the coolest games I’ve ever played) -The Longing (this would be more for you over many months, low effort game) -Elden Ring (a small indie game)

2023-10-30 19:01:33 +0000 UTCUpcoming games all sound good, Dead Space remake is worth a go too while you're on a horror streak. Honestly for Patreon content, think I've said this before but don't worry about it. I'd bet 99% of the people in here are paying for support, not rewards.
Andy
2023-10-30 17:51:59 +0000 UTCResident Evil 4 Remake is a MUST, now that we see you enjoying the remakes so much. Furthermore, was not a big fan of Dark Souls 2: Rather see you skip ahead to DS 3, or even better... Sekiro! (if you dare)
Johan
2023-10-30 16:25:05 +0000 UTCCuphead and Return of the Obra Dinn are 2 excellent choices. I've just finished Spider-Man 2 so think I'm actually legally obliged to recommend catching up with the 1st game (I see that mug...) The Medium is another shorter (10hrs-ish?) spooky game with really interesting "split world" mechanics that has you flicking between the real world and spirit world to solve puzzles. I've also seen some excellent suggestions in the comments and would be happy with whatever series you bring us next
Human#19138980
2023-10-30 14:56:45 +0000 UTCI'm so happy you've mentioned undertale I could cry haha. I love that game. I first played it 2 years ago but I still think about it occasionally and listen to it's soundtrack regularly. If it's something you like then deltarune would be a no-brainer (and I imagine highly requested) it's more of the same brilliance imo. You didn't want to hear anything about the game so I'll shut up about it but I'm so excited aha! Cuphead? I honestly think it will piss you off aha. Its both impressively beautiful and infuriatingly difficult. But its the platforming sections I don't think you'll get along with. Obviously I could be completely wrong about that and it is a great game, just basing this off what you've said in the past. I'm so lucky you keep playing games I love or am really interested in so I feel no need to make any requests, I'm just happy with things the way they are
Mark
2023-10-30 12:38:29 +0000 UTCI recommend The Forgotten City. It's a relatively short (5-8 hours) story-based game with a time loop.
Asaf Gartner
2023-10-30 11:38:12 +0000 UTCIf you are in need of a shorter game, that might be done in a few gaming sessions, I would highly recommend "Bramble: The Mountain King". Has a great story, doesn't overstay its welcome with unnecessary filler and fits the vibe of spooky-times. I think you would really enjoy it. Also Subnautica: Below Zero would certainly fit the snowy theme of December very well. Not sure how complicated it would be to set up, but maybe the idea of a patreon-exclusive raffle, where once every month a patreon-member wins the chance to suggest a game for you to check out for maybe an hour or 2, just to see if you like it. With no requirement you make it any bigger if the game doesn't land well with you. Other things could maybe also be up for grabs. I know that the idea of being forced to play something you might not want to, can be very icky, which is why it should just be like a tiny taste.
J. P.
2023-10-30 10:34:31 +0000 UTCI can’t recall what the plans for Dark Souls games were (Patreon only/for everyone, which games to play, etc.), but I would love to see you play any and all FromSoftware games, excluding Elden Ring, but including Armored Core 6 😁 Regarding the DS2 version: coin toss haha? Undertale and Obra Dinn would be cool to see. They’re both games that I don’t want to play, but I’m experiencing quite some FOMO, so watching you play them would be perfect! 😊 Cuphead would be nice as well, but I did find it to be particularly disheartening, so I guess you might want to pick the right time and mindset for it. But! Maybe I’m just projecting, and the other patrons think differently about Cuphead hahaha. I recently played Viewfinder, a pretty short puzzle game in which you play around perspective with an experimental photo camera, and some personal favourites of mine are Bastion and Transistor and I’m 100% convinced you’ll enjoy them (both are about 8 hours long I think).

2023-10-30 09:29:40 +0000 UTCMight want to check out Hellblade: Senua's sacrifice. Dark Soles-ish with some grate puzzles. Could also do some Unpacking for a quicker/shorter play through.
Rogue Variable
2023-10-30 07:42:05 +0000 UTCI'm always bursting at the seams with game suggestions. Some suggestions below, some I've mentioned before, some new. [Bouncy bouncy games]: - Psychonauts 1 and 2: I had only played the sequel when I last suggested it, now I've played both. When the cameo showed up in Alice, I knew the universe wants this to be played! Note that the games are much more lighthearted than Alice. - A Hat in Time: Kind of a mix of Psychonauts and Super Mario Sunshine. Very fun. - Jak & Daxter: An old classic from my childhood. - Smushi Come Home: A cute little game where you play as a mushroom person trying to find their way home. - Super Mario Bros. Wonder: Haven't played this myself, but it looks fun! [Puzzly games]: COCOON: This recently came up on the Discord. It is very very good! Portal 1 and 2: Beloved puzzle classics. The Talos Principle: I love this one, perhaps more than Portal. It may make for less of an interesting viewing experience, though. The sequel releases in just 3 days as well! Call of the Sea: Just finished this myself. Interesting Lovecraftian game. As for Patreon things I would like to see... maybe some art streams or a casual stream where you check out some demos in the next Steam Next Fest could be fun. Patreon exclusive series could be fun. I would suggest still releasing them to the public after a while, though, as I think they will probably get lost in obscurity here which would be a shame.
Trolez
2023-10-30 07:09:11 +0000 UTCThis would be quite a divergence, but I'd like to request Slay The Princess and Scarlet Hollow. They're visual novel experiences, but *quite* good. Scarlet Hollow has four chapters of seven currently available, and it's kind of a modern gothic horror. Slay the Princess just came out and it's a brilliant use of interactive fiction with a wholly unreliable narrator, brilliant voice acting, and lovely artwork.
Phazon Media
2023-10-30 03:06:50 +0000 UTCMore livestreams for sure. As for games, I recommend: Plague Tale Games Hellblade Call of the Sea Alan Wake 1&2 There are also great games mentioned in the comments that would be great.
Kga710
2023-10-30 02:47:43 +0000 UTCDark Souls 2 is the weakest Souls game, but it is still a very good game. Just don't go into it expecting a Dark Souls 1 experience as not as much effort (or perhaps too much misguided effort) has been put into lore and world-building. I recommend Scholar of the First Sin as compared to the original as it is slightly less clunky. There is one thing that the game doesn't tell you that you need to know: If you are not having fun or the combat doesn't "feel right", your ADP has not been leveled up high enough. Any other attribute is optional like in any Souls game, but the game can't be completed without levelling up ADP.

2023-10-30 02:02:10 +0000 UTCAlso excited for Undertale! Also - keeping it a Patreon exclusive for a while (and making sure your patrons know to keep quiet) is a great idea. The less you know the better, for a while at least.

2023-10-30 02:01:50 +0000 UTCso excited for undertale!

2023-10-30 01:56:37 +0000 UTCIf you looking for puzzle game with some story element then I would recommend Quern - undying thoughts.

2023-10-30 01:40:06 +0000 UTCBaldy gate 3 would be insane. In terms of Dark souls 2, Deeeeeeeeeeeefinitely SotFS

2023-10-30 01:22:55 +0000 UTCIn addition to what others have said, what about a quick little tutorial of how to do game art assets? Unless you don't enjoy making art anymore, of course

2023-10-30 00:48:49 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed watching I'm on Observation Duty, so more of that series would be fun between other stuff or just for Patreon.

2023-10-30 00:36:47 +0000 UTCSame! I would love to see RE1 & RE4 remake and RE7/8.

2023-10-30 00:32:08 +0000 UTCDSII: SotFS all the way, though the increased enemy count in some areas can be a bit of a pain.

2023-10-30 00:30:40 +0000 UTCI’d offer Call of the Sea, it’s a relatively short puzzle game like Outer Wilds, but with some uneasy Lovecraftian horror elements and, of course, fish to go with your previous fish theme lol. The puzzles are somewhat tricky from what I remember but it shouldn’t be too bad. I hope you enjoy any game you choose to play :D
Oliver Quinn
2023-10-29 23:58:41 +0000 UTCSubnautica Below Zero, 100%! That play through was so relaxing. Cuphead would be fun, it’s sooo hard, I haven’t even made a dent in the DLC yet. Looking forward to whatever comes next!

2023-10-29 23:54:49 +0000 UTCIf I stick to the list of games given: Probably Dark Souls. Unrequested picks: If I had my pick, I personally am a huge fan of horror/Resident Evil games so I would love RE7/8 and perhaps even RE4R.
Edd
2023-10-29 23:54:40 +0000 UTCI'd really like just super casual, off the cuff, really simply edited chatty videos where you talk about something other than the video games or at least not directly connected to the games you're playing on the channel. I've been looking forward to hearing what you thought about The Return of the King extended edition since you mentioned it in your Dark Souls episode, for example. I guess it could be stressful and probably more work than I'm imagining, but that's what I'd like to see. Obra Dinn would be great. A game for the future that I'm currently playing and obsessed with is Baldur's Gate 3. It'll probably never happen as it's a MASSIVE open world game that would take you forever to get through and a nightmare to edit, but it's just brilliant and playing through it, I'm constantly thinking, 'Amber would love this'. Easily the best open world game since The Witcher 3.
The Mighty Pipe
2023-10-29 23:51:05 +0000 UTCI first found you through your Sunautica play. Been waiting for Below Zero since.
Rogue Variable
2023-10-29 23:49:21 +0000 UTCBetter to just play Scholar of the First Sin. Its really not that much different than the original, so you might as well pick one and not worry too much lol

2023-10-29 23:39:17 +0000 UTCOmg I didn't expect to see an Undertale playthrough so soon! It's one of my favorite games ever (it's also a perfect game to play around holidays haha). I can't wait to watch the playthrough! I would also love to see a let's play of Obra Dinn! That's the one I've been most excited about ever since the polls. It's an amazing game that often gets overlooked (I think cause some people don't like the graphic style) but it is SO much fun to play once you get into it. When it comes to what I'd like to see on Patreon, I would be interested to see some videos about game development? Like the process of creating game assets maybe, or just to see you art in general. And a Patreon exclusive series sounds really nice! Some other games that I would like to see are Disco Elysium, Baba is You, Psychonauts 2, Omori and Tunic.

2023-10-29 23:24:01 +0000 UTCI’d love some livestreams! I think it’d be a lot of fun, but it’s only if you’re actually into doing them, ya know? As for the options there, I’m down for any of them really! Just excited for more content to keep me company through the day 😁
Mackthecatdad
2023-10-29 23:01:50 +0000 UTCi don't know what i'd prefer when it comes to patreon content, maybe just some one-offs every now and then of something you wanna check out? that'd be cool! i'd recommend SotFS, it's the revised version of the game and while there are some bad things about it, you get some cool stuff and lore! it's quite long, but nothing you can't handle, i'd just be prepared for some comments saying that you should've skipped it, it sucks but you'd get comments asking why you did skip it if you decided to just go to 3, just the way of the youtube comments really :( as long as you're doing the one that you want to do tho then that's all that really matters i'd love to see undertale, it's fanbase can just be pretty particular about how the game is played, it's also kinda expected that you do two playthroughs for the different runs (although you don't have to ofc). i'd love to see it, but fully understand if you don't vibe with that all of this sounds awesome tho! so excited for this, thank you!
ChilledGricken
2023-10-29 22:56:16 +0000 UTCI'd very much be interested in seeing you check out Subnautica: Below Zero if you're wanting to dive back into that world (no pun intended). That being said, I would also love seeing you return to Ocarina of Time, or playing Majora's Mask (since that one's a bit shorter). But I know you still have Tears of the Kingdom going on, so I totally get if you'd want to avoid any Zelda overload.
Ryan Williams
2023-10-29 22:52:42 +0000 UTCMy vote goes to SoTFS. While a bit more... oppressive in terms of enemy placement, it also has places that are made easier to compensate. The only real annoyances are some NPC invasion spots, but it's all very doable. It's about as long as DS1, depending on how fast you get past bosses and find your way of course :) Keeping Undertale Patreon-only for a bit might be wise. The broader community around it can be very vocal, toxically so. But, very hyped about it! I loved the game a lot, but my pfp probably gave that away haha. It's about 10~12 hours I'd say? Return of the Obra Dinn is honestly one of the coolest puzzle games in terms of visual design I've seen, and it's tough to boot. If you do find the time for it, it's worth the playthrough. Edit: I've seen comments mentioning Soma which is an amazing psychological horror game. A very hard recommendation on that one. For Patreon specific things, the stream was nice and comfy, if you're comfortable with them?

2023-10-29 22:39:18 +0000 UTCMy unhelpful response is, "You do what inspires you." I think the idea of casual videos is nice. Something that doesn't stress you out so much with the need for performing and editing. You are more entertaining than you give yourself credit for, I believe - bells and whistles or not. It'd be cool to hear about the daily struggles of streaming as well as a bit about the 3d modeling work you do. (I don't like the idea of Patreon exclusive videos if that means revenue loss. But maybe it doesn't. I don't know.) P.S. Surprised RE4Re isn't on the list! Hopefully you aren't too spooped ;)
Stray Goat
2023-10-29 22:38:15 +0000 UTCDefinitely you should play inscryption
Michael Stollard
2023-10-29 22:36:56 +0000 UTCI'd say play Scholar of the First Sin, looking forward to that! Also, I think either the remake of Dead Space or, keeping with the theme, Resident Evil 4, as both are great. Some casual videos about gaming in general, what you're seeing in the industry I think would also be cool.
