Chapter 999: An Interesting Message
Stealth didn’t come naturally to Thalia Mercer. Her Onslaught essence informed not just her power set but her inclinations in life, although her life had been strange for a long time. She hadn’t seen her daughter in years. Or, more precisely, Cassandra hadn’t seen her. Thalia watched from the shadowy side of a tall tree as Cassandra and her team walked across the Adventure Society campus ...

Another health update
G'day all,
The recovery is coming along very nicely. I attended PAX Australia last weekend, and while I did spend most of it resting in my hotel room, it was frequently packed with authors and other friends, new and old. Lots of chatting and playing board games, and discovering which authors really rely on spell-checkers. It was a great weekend.
Sunday was my biggest day of...

G'day all,
I wanted to let you know that I'll be appearing at PAX Australia in two weeks, on a panel with other Aussie litRPG authors. The con is in Melbourne, and our panel is on Sunday, late in the afternoon.
This will be my first public event since getting sick, and it's going to be a big test of my recovery. How much I'll be out and about, versus curled up in my hotel room sick ...

G'day all,
On the good news front, I am starting to see some real recovery. It's very slow and very incremental, but after months of unpleasant stasis, things are (very gradually) starting to improve. My doctors have started to pull me off some of the drug regime and I am out and about a little bit more than previous, although I still spend mos of my time resting and sleeping.
I'm n...

Actual Shirt here.
After almost two months (and coming scary close to death) I was released from hospital yesterday. I still have months of recovery ahead, however. I have good days and bad days, and the mountain of drugs I take every day knocks me around. I'm not back to writing yet, and I'll likely start slow. It will still be some time before chapter release resume.

G'day all. I wanted to give everyone an update, and a sense of what has happened thus far. I was on a big holiday with friends and family when I got sick. Very sick, in a couple of ways that both have high mortality rates. I came close to dying when my lungs and kidneys were unable to support themselves unassisted, but the doctors were able to save me and I ended up in a week-long coma instead....
