It occurred to me the other day that one of the great things about our streaming concerts is that fans can chat with each other during the show. Its a community experience, especially for people who can't get out to see live bands much these days (which is most of us).
So I was thinking, what if we had monthly listening parties? It'll be a stream, like the concerts, where everyone ...
Ancient World is a massive album. At 15 songs, its nearly a double album. (Records, for example, only hold 4 songs a side, and thats if they are short!) This Saterday, Abney Park will be having a Christmas Concert, and with it, and new chrismas album, filled with orginal Abney Park Christmas songs, as well as a few classics. Both the concert, and the album, are only $15.

HAHAH, here is the album that MIGHT have been!!!!
One of the first songs I wrote for this christmas album is this silly little song about this guy being stuck in space on a run down starship at Christmas time. I wrote it earlier in the morning (late at night?), and pretty much dreamed/improvised the lyrics on the spot. Its a great song, kind sad-sack, and funny, this guy stuck...

Okay, okay...I know I JUST released an album. But the second it was released I got SooooOoOoo bored. I mean, what am I supposed to do? I'm pretty much only happy when I'm writing music, so the second the album was released I started arranging Chris...

As I think most of you know, I’ve been writing a musical. This is currently scheduled to have a big budget staging either in 2022 or 2023 (I think the later is more likely).
But in the meantime, and likely pretty soon, I will release it as an Audiobook musical!
This will be a fully dramatized musical, with a huge cast of professional (and brilliant) actors, actresses, and singers....
