It's coming in fast again - think of this as a mini Situation Report done in bullets. Moving north to south
- Ukraine has firmed up the bridgehead at Dvorichna, and working its way through Tavilzhanka
- Ukraine is preparing an advance on Lyman-Pershyi from the north, the town is the last Russian defensive point between the Dvorichna and Kupyansk bridgeheads

Multiple reports that Ukraine has taken control of Zelena Dolyna and Shandryholove, and is advancing on Starky. Terrorists of the Imperial Legion defend Drobysheve, which still has two possible routes of retreat. One is to Lyman, which delays the inevitable, and the other is to Zarichne.
A withdrawal to Zarichne will close the door on Lyman, and leave the town encircled.

We've been waiting for video evidence, and now we have some. The Russian Air Force had a really bad today, losing a Ka-52, Su-25, Su-30, and Su-34. The Ukrainian Air Force claims another Su-30 was shot down, but there wasn't a video of that incident. The Su-34 suffered a near hit or had a mechanical failure and was able to fly out of the combat zone with one engine flaming out. It is unlikely t...

There remains a lot of fog of war, and Ukraine isn't saying anything. Based on social intelligence and some very reliable reports, it appears Ukrainian forces have broken through Russian lines north of Lyman in two locations. At Korovii Iar, as we reported in the Situation Report, moving both east and south, and at Rubtsi moving north.
Ukrainian officials confirmed that Yatskivka had been...

When Russia damaged the dam in Kryvyi Rih, we had assessed that flood waters don't care about Ukrainian pontoon bridges versus Russian pontoon bridges, and as the crest moved down the Inhulets River, this would cause equal problems for the Russians, just as Ukraine is reestablishing any lost bridges...

Once upon a time, as the Cold War between the Soviet Union and the Western nations simmered, the United States, France, and the United Kingdom developed nuclear weapons programs while the Soviets created their own.
In a little more than a decade after Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Soviets launched Sputnik, creating hysteria in the west and kicking off th...

The site is located in the forests just west of the city, not a surprise. There are between 440 and 500 bodies that are currently being exhumed.
At this time, many appear to be civilians who were killed during the bombings, shelling, and missile attacks when the city was under siege in March. A group of 17 Ukrainian soldiers in a mass gra...

Parts of Kryvyi Rih are flooding, and there are some evacuations. The dam holds back the water on the Inhulets River, and there is rampant speculation on what Russia is/was trying to do.
