Usually I can't feel these. It's called a blood gas and measures the amount of CO2 that I am either retaining or expelling. To an able bodied person with full sensation, this would be almost unbearable. And up until now, I have not been able to feel how unpleasant it is. So in a way, it's a positive pain… promise I'm not a masochist.

My CO2 is at 22 and it's supposed to be at 35.

August 2 is the fourth anniversary of my injury. I'm going to the adaptive gym to use some equipment and afterward going live on my Instagram even though I can't talk about the specifics of what happened… four years later and I am still forced to keep silent about it a little bit longer. Misconception: paralyzed people can't feel

This couldn't be further from the truth in my case! I can feel if something is wrinkly underneath me such as my bedsheets or the white material we put on top of the sheets in case I have an accident.

Think about it, if you were sitting all day long you would want to be stretched out in massage too.

Saturday update

So, this video was recorded a couple weeks ago when I thought I had full coverage going on at least for my daytime shiftS 9 AM to 9 PM all week. The girl helping me in this video turned out to be an alcoholic who kept saying she would get her drivers license renewed after a DUI… I had a flaky three months with her before we decided to cancel her probation timeframe on the job* everybody gets ...

Blood pressure problems and pacer malfunction

This turned out not to be as serious or worrisome as far as the diaphragm pacer was concerned, however my blood pressure dipping and then going way too high after I took too much blood pressure medication was no joke.
